Solidarity Conference
Speakers, Discussions, Hands-On Learning & Films
March 31-April 2, 2000

The Solidarity Conference seeks to join together activists from numerous
political and social movements to learn about a variety of topics. For the
non-activist, this will be a good introduction to an assortment of issues that
you may have been interested in but have not investigated. We hope that the
conference will not only encourage individuals to discover the workshop’s
subject-matter, but to also gain a familiarity with different movements and
the
similar goals that they all share.
Topics will most likely include, but are not limited to:
Globalization: economic, political and social effects
The History and Social Construction of Homelessness
Issues of Racism and Sexism in Activism
Vegetarianism, Veganism & Animal Rights
Media Literacy and Alternative Media
Critical Mass, Alternative Transportation & Car Culture
