Thomas Meyer-Falk (for further details on his person see below) urgently
needs our solidarity and support at the moment. While the juridical and
administrative officials of the prison (the German term is
'Justizvollzugsanstalt') are sitting in warm heated offices, Thomas has to
sit in a security cell with ferro-concrete floor. The normal cells have at
least damming wooden floors. The window of Thomas isolation cell consists of
rotten wood and doesn't close tightly. The cell is only being heated between
6:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m., and between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., the rest of
the day Thomas has to sit freezing in a cold cell.
Thomas has already tried to sue the prison before court, but the courts
coincide with these practice. Because Thomas suffers of a chronicle
bronchitis (he's non-smoker!), this form of quarters hits him especially
heavy. Moreover it is not possible while freezing to sit at the cell table,
write or read.
Please do urgently write polite formulated protest faxes and letters to the
following recipients (either in English, French or German language) and ask
for the transfer to a heated cell, as well for the loosening of the arrest
conditions of Thomas Meyer-Falk (cell number: 3117):

Germany: redskin in prison
One aspect of the left movement are redskins. Out of the skinhead-movement
of the 60ies and 70ies, especially in the USA and England, developed a
skinhead-culture, which doesn't follow the widespread nazi-ideology. But
represents antifascist ideas and actively fights Nazis.
As everywhere in the western, imperialist world, especially in Germany, as a
politically left, anarchist, antifascist thinking and acting person, you
don't have a lot to laugh at - especially if you're imprisoned.
When I called a judge an "example of a fascistic judge from of a
picture-book" in 1995, this exclamation was worth 7 (seven!) months of
prison. At the moment I'm sitting (a 27 year old redskin) in solitary
confinement and have seen quite a lot of prisons in Germany. The advantages
to defend the solitary confinement, are kept as large as possible: suspicion
of a planned escape through taking hostages; reproach of wanting to kill
judges; threat and insult of court and prison officers.
The end of my punishment is noted to 2010, as in 1996 during the fight
against capital I robbed a bank. As I didn't want to deny my political ideas
during the trial, I got in addition the security custody, i.e. after 2010
I'll be kept imprisoned.
The daily chicaneries of the regime are various: so far I have been refused
a university study through mail; leaving the cell only in irons; daily cell
raids; several body checks per week, i.e. taking off all the clothes in
front of prison officers; limitations at the supply of journals; suppression
of getting post packages; solitary visit of the prison yard; severe solitary
confinement; no participation at the prison divine service; severe
censorship of the outgoing and incoming mail; and so on!
But that's exactly what keeps me going on - because only if we fight
actively and resists, we can move something!
Still today I'm being covered over with trials - so I shall have called a
prison lawyer a "nazi-pig"!
Nevertheless even being put under such pressure it's possible to maintain
ones own political identity and keep on fighting!
