This is to inform everyone that the demonstration for Mumia has been
scheduled for this Tuesday, October 19, 1999 at 12:15p.m. in Memorial
Mall. Speakers will be Divine Allah from the BSU who will talk about the
life of Mumia in short, Mumia's trial, and how we can help him in getting
a new case and this execution stopped. Other organizational speakers will
include a member from Amnesty International and the Leftist Student
Network and there may be one or two more speakers. Petitions to be signed
will be circulated after the demonstration as well as letters that
participants can mail in for themselves. We encourage everyone to come
out and rally for this brother's life. He has been an asset to the black
community and the American community at large and we need to take a stand
for his human right to life and his American right to a fair trial with a
jury of his peers. Look forward to seeing everyone there who can make it.
It should be about an hour long.
