The comrades of France of the Concerned Family & Friends / LE COSIMAPP,
have programmed a big initiative for the 10 december, (they have the idea of
building an european coordination about Mumia) whit internationals
partecipations
(among whom the spanish comrades, the Italian coordination Against Repression
and for MAJ, and the Italian Telematic Association Malcom X.
These are the italian programmed initiatives but we think that various
others will join it:
November 25th: in Bassano del Grappa the "Red Star" Occupied Social Center
is
organizing a debate on the case of Mumia and against oppression, from the
latest
acts of repression occurring in Italy to the repressive strategies at an
international level.
December 1st: in Firenze, assembly of Committee for Liberation of Mumia at
9:30 p.m.
at CPA in Viale Giannotti, 79.
December 2nd: in Cesena, leafletting in the town center and assembly and
concert
in solidarity with Mumia.
December 2, 3 or 4th: in Roma an initiative for Mumia.
December 4th: in Bologna, a demonstration for Mumia and for all political
prisoners
in Piazza Nettuno.
December 4th: in Firenze, a demonstration in front of the U.S. Consulate in
Viale
Lungarno Vespucci starting at 4 p.m..
December 4th: in Ravenna, leafletting in the town center.
December 10th: in Roma, a video and debate on domestic and foreign wars,
repression and the case of Mumia: three themes closely connected.

p.m. It starts at Victoria Park Bandshell, downtown and ends athe the
Liberal MP Joe Fontana's office (437 Oxford East), where we will be
presenting him with a letter asking him to publically condemn the
actions of the Pennsylvania justice system and grant Mumia a new fair
trial.

yesterday the Portuguese Parliament has aproved unanimously a resolution
demanding the former verdict against Mumia Abu-Jamal to be cancelled and
the process to be repeated. The vote had been proposed by the MPs of the BE
(Left Block) to the other parliamentary fractions and had got the support
of all of them, from the right PP and PSD until the Government-Party, PS,
the PCP (Communists) and the PEV (Green Party). So it was no surprise, that
the vote was unanimous.

Mumia Abu Jamal:

Of this road we want to speak you, because is from where we find ourselves

yet when, in appearance, it will be very different. Our place is populated
of gestures,

We speak you from 30,000 disappeared in Argentina during the last military
dictatorship.
It will be, in March of the 2000: 24 years since then; 24 years in which it
has not gained
the forgetfulness an only span; 24 years in which the report has fertilized.
30,000, as we said you, we populate the soul: we strengthen the principles
and, fructify
in tenderness.
In these times in which there are so many that consider lost the battles,

CAMPAIGN ONE MUST TO SAVE
THE LIFE OF MUMIA ABU JAMAL
The International Users Association of Internet, Internautas by the
Peace and the Freedom is adhered to the international campaign
directed to obtain the annulment of the death penalty of the Mumia
Abu Jamal, journalist radiofónico and union American, known as "the
voice of the voiceless".
To 18 days of the announced date (2 of December) for their execution,
Internautas by the Peace and the freedom requests to the men and
women of good will that write to Bill Clinton, president of the
United States, the following text: As president of the United States,
you no have the right to say: " Do not have power to intervene in
this case ".
Bill Clinton and their Attorney General Janet Reno, have the
responsibility and the power to intervene and prevent the legal
assassination that intends carry out the governor of the State of
Pennsylvania, opening an investigation to determine if there was or
not irregularities on the part of the policeman. This will avoid the
execution.
Before the summit of Seatle one must be directed each one of the
respective 123 governments that will participate in this summit, to
they comment: " Request to Clinton that it saves the life of Mumia
Abu Jamal".
As is known, the Supreme United States Court rejected the past 4 of
October a petition of the black journalist Mumia Abu Jamal. 13 of
October the governor of Pennsylvania company the order of executing
to Mumia in December, 2.
Mumia Abu Jamal was known in Philadelphia for your radio programs in
those which supported to the social movements and denounced the
abuses of the authorities. Their dramatic history began in December
of 1981, when Mumia saw that a brother his was being beaten by a
policeman and attempted to defend it. Received a shot that almost
produced to him the death and other shot made impact, in the
policeman, to kill he. Several witnesses declared have seen to two
men that were removed running of the scene of the crime.
The brothers of Mumia and the witnesses were pursued and expelled of
the city of Philadelphia. Two months after the policeman officials

hospital.

the judgment.
Mumia Abu Jamal could be the fifth victim if the world solidarity

The attempt of the fact that is granted to her to Mumia Abu Jamal
condemned to the capital penalty in United States the opportunity of
a new judgement with all the guarantees proper, coincides with the
introduction of the campaign of the European Union so that the
General Assembly of next December United Nations approves a
moratorium specie in the application of the death penalty in the
countries that still are resisted to his abolition. It will be very
interesting to see which is the United States response and if insists
in following grappled to the supreme contradiction that supposes be
the country that indoctrinates to the world on the respect of the
human rights and to follow appealing in their territory to the legal
assassination that it is the capital penalty.
